Hi,

Please help me to figure out what is the diff between this 2 power supply from Thermaltec

1- Thermaltake Toughpower W0156RU 1200W ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply

2- Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W Psu

Please please. The diff in price is around $ 7

The difference is that the W0133RU is a modular PSU.

What do you mean by Modular? Can I use it for regular Home computer? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Modular means that the cords on the psu are removeable, so you can unplug the ones you dont need.

The advantage is less clutter in the case if you use the modular PSU, and thats about it. Both PSUs have the same rails.

So if you're sure you wont lose the cables, you like a cleaner looking case, and paying a bit more for the same power doesnt bother you, modular may be the way to go.
