I had Covad for an ISP. I had no major issues and they had excellent support with minimal down time. The only problem I ran into was when I moved, the available phone service into my new neighborhood were fiber fed and was not accessible for use by Covad, as they only had copper access. I would suspect their service areas have shrunk immensely as phone service has been upgraded with fiber.
