Yes when you want to do stuff with money on hand and not in the vault make sure you are in the injury ward. In there you cant get mugged by higher up guys and lose all your cash.
Dig for treasure and the lucky dip are to gambling things that always pay so dont be shy to do that.
The most important thing to spend money on early on is a good house, the nicer the hosue the more awake points you have, the higher your awake the more you can get out of training.

just cuz you get 10 nerve doesnt mean you'll be successful. Concentrate on speed and at full nerve with awake around 85-90% bust someone out of jail, thats 500exp.
