It should be fine, i'm using neighbours OC3 connection for LIVE but cant use it for PC since he knows my download habit![]()
here is my last speed test to show i am getting what i'm paying for
Last Result:
Download Speed: 9286 kbps (1160.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 905 kbps (113.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
those are my results for a speed test that i ran. anyone who knows xbox live know that those results are enough to play/hosting on live. the issue i'm having here is hosting. i just purchased this expensive dlink dgl 4300 gaming router.(with gaming fuel technology) i did so hoping it would correct my problem. i still have people playing gears rainbow and couple of other complaining about lag...i can see lag because they have red and yellow bars on rainbow...i have gaming fuel enabled on the router...i've directly connected to the 360 with the modem itself and still get the same issues...called isp and they say signals and such are better than good...they've been out here three or four times in the past three months...what am i doing wrong?

To be human is to choose.

Your problem is hosting? If your upload isnt enough to hsot, then either dont host or buy a faster connection.
EDIT: If you have PCs connected to the router do nto set it to DMZ.
it is more than enough to host. i've seen people with worse connections host more people
A game probably needs 16k or so for each person.
So figure hosting for 6-7 people.
nat status on my xbox says open...not moderate or strict
Perhaps you should check if the game you want to host on requires a different port than what is nec. to get onto xbox live.. some games have different port req.
