    Making WRT54G to 'N'

I have heard that you can make your wrt54g a 'wrt54n'. I am running DD-WRT on my router now. Where would I start in doing so?

You heard wrong....different hardware. While DD-WRT is good firmware (I run it on mine)...and you get better performance than default Linksys firmware..you don't get MIMO performance from it.

Thanks for the reply. I thought I would post something before assuming for sure I could do so. So the only way to have Wireless N is to buy a new router with the technology??????

Yah....there was the first generation, often called "Pre-N"...now we're in the second revision...called "Draft-N"..but it's still not official yet..realistically I'd say about another year until we see officially ratified N products hit the shelves. All of them lumped under "MIMO".

You can get about 75% of the distance gain of MIMO with the DD-WRT wrt54g unit though. Crank up that output.
