    Xp Machine

Hi, I have an xp machine that keeps rebooting. This computer is less than a year old so I would assume it is not a PSU problem. I tried last good connection, safe mode but all give the same problem.

    I appreciate any help.

Check event viewer for any system errors?

    Also:
My Computer properties > Advanced > Startup and recovery settings > uncheck automatically restart. This way you'll get the BSOD error code that can be googled or searched in the MS knowledge Base.

Yos, I can't even get into my computer. I see the XP sign for 1 second and then it reboots. It keeps on doing it until I unplug it. What could cause this?

Maybe RAM, maybe heat, clean out the heatsink on the cpu and if it has multiple sticks of RAM try each one separately.

I had a tech take a look at this issue and he said that there is nothing wrong with the HW on the computer and it appears to be SW issue. I have never heard of this. Has anyone heard of SW causing a computer to continually to reboot? Please let me know what you people think of this conclusion.

    thanks
