Use TCP Optimizer to first reset your settings to Windows Default. Click 'File' and select. Reboot and do a new TCP Analyzer report.

Looks like the reset to Windows Default did not work.

Download and apply this WinSoxkFix and then post a new TCP Analyzer:

Your RWIN needs to be increase to 63712 (for MTU 1488) to allow for a max. latency of 1000ms to suit satellite.

Use the following with TCP Optimizer:

    General Settings tab:
    Custom settings - check
Modify All Network Adapters - check
network adapter selection - your NIC
    MTU - 1488
    TTL - 64
    TCP Receive Window - 63712
    MTU Discovery - Yes
    Black Hole Detect - No
    Selective Acks - Yes
    Max Duplicate ACKs - 2
    TCP 1323 Options:
    Windows Scaling - uncheck
    Timestamps - uncheck

    Advanced Settings tab:
Max Connections per Server - 10
    Max Connections per 1.0 Server - 20
    LocalPriority - 1
    Host Priority - 1
    DNSPriority - 1
    NetbtPriority - 1
    Lan Browsing speedup - optimized
    QoS: NonBestEffortLimit - 0
    ToS: DisableUserTOSSetting - 0
    ToS: DefaultTOSValue - 80
    MaxNegativeCacheTtl - 0
    NetFailureCacheTime - 0
    NegativeSOACache Time - 0
LAN Request Buffer Size - 32768
Then select "Apply Changes" and reboot to take effect

That is why I suspect you may have some software that is overriding TCP Optimizer.

    Post a Hijackthis report: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3155.html

The software highlighted in red is a traffic shaper. I believe you have uninstalled it but some part of it is still controlling your TCP/IP stack.

Try using Hijackthis to fix and remove its entries.

After that go into Windows 'Safe Mode' and use a registry cleaner to remove any remaining parts.

When done, reboot comp and run WinSockFix again and reboot to take effect. Then post a new TCP Analyzer report.

  15. #15
sry, didnt know winpcap was a traffic shaper. It was installed with wireshark I think.
No more traces of it now.

Try using the DefaultReceiveWindow in Cablenut to set your RWIN.

    You can download Cablenut here:

    http://www.student.ipfw.edu/~gottjl0...ablenut408.exe

Open the Cablenut Table and key in the following values. When done Click 'File' to Save the custom file and then Click 'Save to Registry', exit and reboot comp to take effect.

    DefaultReceiveWindow = 63712
