So far I removed chipset cooling (north and south bridge) from my motherboard and replaced it with waterchill VGA blocks.
I do have one "small" problem, I cant use my main videocard because the VGA block is quite big and 8800 GTX are massive.
Now trying to find solution and how fix this problem.
As for Vapochill, it was easy but wrapping the clamshell heat element around the clamsell inserts is my worst computer experience ever.I just couldnt fit it in![]()
But after 40 mins I made it.
I'm attaching few pics so you can see my progress, it's 30% done and I'm going to be done this week latest.
After that I will attach few more pics and OCing results and 3Dmark3k6 score.
Oh and I almost forgot, I got new Lian Li case, it's way smaller but way more flexible, thats why I got rid off tons of HDD's and replaced them with 750gb seagate barracuda.
PS: Special thanks to Greer from www.kit-tronics.com who helped me pick up the right stuffs, even tho i'm stuck with the VGA block![]()
Awesome guy, we talked since 6pm to 5am ....I just never met a person more experienced.Greer I wish I was in Germany in 2004 when you did the 5ghz OC, and yes QUEBEC ROCKS, it's a nation !

Thank god I have a 24" monitor, need it for those pics lol
Is the problem with the video car fitting the block on the card or is the southbridge block on the motherboard getting in the way?
The water block is too high and too wide on southbridge.
Especially too wide.
Can't fit video card.
I'm not watercooling video cards, only chipset.
I found this, it's really small and flexible, no idea if it will fit, i'm missing like 1.5 inches.

The only thing What i'm doing is getting rid off my numerous HDD's, adding bigger ones and only few of them, it should decrease temps, and also removing my chipset and ram limitations.
Sorry about the pics.

I cant see a need for water cooling a southbridge, low profile heatsink and a fan should work out good enough if the waterblocks dont fit.
Yes but I do have 25 USB ports and i'm/was using 18 of them and the southbridge is for usb, firewire and few other things.
Wait, isnt southbridge the one closer to the cpu ?
Ahhh i'm so messed up all I do is looking for some info, googling all day long grrrrrr.
I know it should work fine, but I would love to OC my CPU as high as possible, to the extreme.
But it depends on my cores, if one core is weaker than the rest I'm not going to OC it very high, so far I was lucky i did 3.6 with liquid cooling no clue how far i will go this time.

Northbridge is by the cpu southbridge is by the video card slot and battery.
Ok I do have an update.
There is only one low profile water block manufactured in Germany which will fit in, but it would be quite expansive to get it here before friday, Greer is working now finding me video card block, dangerden is sold out of them, he has to call the president of dangerden to get me the block.
The waterchill is powerfull enough to cool down both chipsets and both video cards.
The height (space) between video card and southbridge is only 0.6 inches.
One way or other I'm not going back with the original chipset cooling supplied by eVGA.
Yes the southbridge doesnt need to be cool down but the problem are my USB ports, it will cause system instability.

Not done yet bro, not done yet.
Friday it should be finished, and it's going to be the fastest desktop computer.
Some of my cooling devices are supplied only for military, they are not on their website because people were asking too many questions about them.
Everything is in, except motherboard, still waiting for memory, memory was manufactured and testing completed less than
a day ago with the latest chips from Micron.Testing indicates this batch
will do extremely well for memory sticks already at the top.
Forgot to add, you remember when we were children, you always liked playing with cars more, I always enjoyed computers
Too bad you went away so early, maybe I should have done same thing.
