connect wireless router to another wireless router

    hi,

i am looking to learn whether it is possible to connect a belkin pre-n wireless router to an avm fritz box for wlan. the belkin pre-n wireless router does not have a built in adsl modem whereas the fritz box does. Apparantly the fritz box may not offer as good wireless performance as the belkin pre-n wireless router so i was wondering if it is possible to connect via the lan socket at the back of the fritz box the belkin pre-n wireless router so that i could still connect to my lan using signals coming from the belkin pre-n wireless router.

avm also do a fritz box without wlan (i.e. a plan adsl modem and router). if it isnt possible to do the above with the wlan product would it be possible using the non-wlan fritz product?

    hope that makes sense.

the fritz products are shown at http://www.avm.de/en/Produkte/FRITZBox/index.html

    Many thanks
    James

yes the Belkin routers have built in support for AP mode in their web admin. Change LAN IP to be in the range of your primary router....change to AP mode (which disables DHCP on it automatically)..and uplink it using a LAN port...you will not use the WAN port of your Belkin)
