People here are almost in a panic

forcasted ice storm tonight after midnight topped off with up to 12" of snow by thursday night. Looks like I might have a long weekend again Grocery store parking lots are full.

People remember the ice storm we had about 15 years ago, many people on the edge of town and the surrounding areas were without power for up to 10 days.

I just hope my new motherboard shows up today, that will give me something to do inside while it's nasty outside. My main rig has been down for over a year haha

I'm probably self sufficient for a couple of weeks at least. Longer if we start eating pets and using the water purifier on the water in the lagoon.

    Hi Zilog B

Good luck to all involved with these storms. Not a fun adventure.

Oh ya! this is no time to pick a fight with the Old Lady.

I would love all that snow here. My florida neighers moved out though, no more watching the guy in a 4x4 truck get stuck in his driveway

Here even with 9foot snow drifts I've never... NEVER not been able to get either my truck or jeep out.. I remember a few years ago it was about a good foot+ riding around the back roads in the mountains in my jeep pushing snow with the bumper.. and the bumper stands up almost 3 feet off the ground

We are having a thunderstorm here and the temp is 26....you know what that means...nothing but ice is falling. It wouldn't surprise me if my neighbors trees knock down the power around here Just heard that the interstates are near solid ice

1/4" of sleet and ice, then anywhere from 6"-12" here for tomorrow evening. All depends on the low...could change a bit and dump more or hopefully less. Was getting spoiled with a solid week of +60f temps. Now we are looking at a 40f degree temperature change in a matter of a day.
