I have a 55" Mittsi HDTV that only does 1080i, no 720. Would games that don't don't support 1080i look that much better on my big screen in the 480 mode? How many games support 1080i on the Xbox 360?

Well look at www.xbox360.com and you can find there answers you are looking for.Even on 480p the games are looking good.

Every XBOX 360 game supports 1080i, and even if one doesn't explicitly say so, the system will upscale it to that (unlike a certain other system on the market).

So yes, you can play them all in HD.
