    My second home...

Truly....I have not found another website that I am drawn to besides this one. I am slow to make friends. Slow to trust. Well, people who know me say I'm just plain slow.

But, I really do love you guys. You are good peeps.

I'm not looking for sympathy but it's been weighing on my mind so I'll just share this then move on. I lost my Mother in October. I only put this up at one other site. I feel close enough to you guys to say so.

She is buried at Arlington National Cemetary and so far, it is the most difficult loss I have ever had to face.

But, I'm going to be okay.

Love all you guys and always wishing the best for every single one of you.

    Love,

    Sarahnn/Patricia

I am so sorry. There are never words when you lose such a cherished loved one. It's even more difficult when close to a holiday season.

Take comfort in the fact that she rests in a place of high honor, both physically, and spiritually, within your heart and memories. They will always be yours to call upon whenever you need. Angel Blessings

    Unhappy

so sorry to hear, you should have said something...it is so much easier to cope with a loss or problems, when you share with friends, who have been thru the same circumstances... support is good, it will wear you down to deal with something alone.

Losing a loved one leaves an empty space in your life. Loosing a parent is even worse.

    My heartfelt condolences, Patrica.

While your open, which is your name, sarahnnnnnn or patriciaaaaaaaaa?

Just think, its much better that you suffer the loss of your mother, than your mother suffering the loss of you, it sucks, but its the natural way of things.

Sorry to read of your loss Sarahnn.

I read this to everyone at my father's funeral a few years ago. Hope it does for you what it did for us.

    John
When I come to the end of the road,
And the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom filled room ...
Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little, but not too long,
    And not with your head bowed low;
Remember the love that we once shared ...
Miss me - but let me go! For this is a journey we must all take,
    And each must go along;
It's all part of the "Master's" plan ...
A step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick of heart,
Go to the friends we know,
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds ...
Miss me - but let me go.

Thanks everyone. Such kind and generous words, when you each have your own story to tell.

Last night I went out and I was in a pretty good mood but agitated for some reason. The first Christmas carol of the year began to play on the radio and wow....did I get flooded with some memories of Christmas past with my Mom.

Had to turn around and come home, my enthusiasm totally sapped. But, the grieving comes further and further apart. Can't believe how much my Mom meant to me...just never realized.

You are all so special.... Dan, YOSC, Misty, CableDude, knightmare, Debbie, Ghettoside, downhill, YoS, Rivas, Croc, and of course, Lefty.

    Croc, the poem was wonderful.

YoS, the name Sarahnn is an old beloved Welsh name that goes back in my family which I have always loved and finally had the chance to use it, and Patricia is my given name. You can call me whatever you want, just be nice. heh heh

    Love,

    Sarahnn/Patricia

Thought I'd bump this in memory of John.

To say the least... It sounds like your Mom is in good company. Her resting place is not one you can just get into without some good character and wellbeing. Sorrow for your loss. You have some good character. The apple does not fall far from the tree, and as a Christian I believe you will see her again. God Bless
