I had to reformat my harddrive recently (system crash) for my Dell Dimension 4550. I used the reinstall and driver discs provided by Dell to reinstall windows and some drivers. However, my USB devices (there are 4 on the PC and 4 on my Dell monitor) are not responding. I look in the Device manager and find the USB Host and USB Root Hubs for 4 of them, and they are listed as working properly. I am guessing this is only the 4 on the pc itself (not monitor). Any ideas how to correct this? I currently do not have internet connection either because the cable connection is not responding (cable guy coming out Wednesday to fix that).

I figured I could possible unistall them and then after reboot have them reinstalled, but I'm not sure if this is safe. thanks.
