It's colosally stupid. Even more so is that I actually had to to explain the states forfeiture law to the dumb broad at impound.

I hate crooked cops, they absolutely ruin it for the good ones.

It really depends ....some months more than others but it's usually 3-5 a month. No, I am not in the field however I have personally repo'd a couple .....they were voluntary surrenders rather close to the branch and I couldn't justify spending 350.00 to pick it up when I simply walked down the street and drove it here.

but there are plenty of other things that get me out of the office.....this particular case he had the car seized by the city

No, not really. I did have one guy come in and start screaming at me after I repo'd his mint 87' RX 7. I mean this guy was up in my face in the middle of the office. I put it to him verrry simply. Shut your mouth if you want your car back.

I've gone both times alone...I only get the police involved if I have to file a replevin against the member. Replevins are soo much fun....I get to tell the loser that they have 3 options once it's filed.

    1. Give me the car

    2. Give me the money

    3. Go to jail and sit there until you decide to do either #1 or #2

Of course I'm simplifying the replevin process quite a bit ..there's a lot more to it but you get the gist of it.

You cant take it too personal, otherwise you are gonna end up in some mental clinic
It's your job, you have to do what you have to do, when people buy/lease/borrow money for a car and sign for it they know they have to pay.No payments = no car, its simple. Many of them wont admit it.
I would be pissed too but not at them but at myself.
