    smart man
People will forget what you said... and people will forget what you did... but people will never forget how you made them feel.

    Hi PaulEdwardWagemann

I'm not familiar with ME as it was not very popular, that said it would appear that DIDS steps to restore make sense.

Do as he advised and you'll see as you go along. Look for a date prior to your problems and restore that. It should solve your problems

Once again...hang in there Paul. I completely understand your confusion, being new to this forum. And some responses to you were totally WRONG!! however, most were made in jest. Some just plain forget how it is to be brand new in the computer field...and learning...we meant no harm...and my apologies rendered for those who temporarily forgot that. This is really a great group...they will help you!!

try using firefox in the future

I was going to post a link to that thread, but the SG search results for "bullsh|t" were too numerous

sometimes you have to think outside the box to get inside the box .

The positive aspects are he was given the correst answers many times, but he then bumps thread and says I don't know if i can trust you when given correct answer, If he wants help, but cant trust long time members on a forum, then he can go to best buy and they will fix him up

    Yes.

and don't let MadDoc's neg rep fool you... those -99999 pts and such are an inside joke... he is a good member.

ME is prone to freeze up... only MS OS that was worse was win95a...

Well of course hes gonna question it when someone says half is good advice and the other half are jokes, also ghettoside brings up a good point on maddocs rep.

He labeled himself as a beginner, so he may not have the experience to figure out what is best, probably why he stopped by here.

I'm all for goofing off in the gen forum but new members that actually need help shouldnt be goofed on or with until the problem is solve, let 'em see our good side first

    I wholeheartedly agree YoS.

Giving bad advice most especially to a Newbie does nothing for the rep of this Site nor is it a reasonable way to Welcome someone new to the forum.

I do not see what satisfaction one gains from trying to cause further harm to someones Computer when they are simply looking for help?
