    resouce conflict. help needed

    i ve an acer 4060 travelmate notebook. since yes'day it is giving an error message with a beep during the boot which says---

    Resource Conflict- PCI Network Controller on Motherboard

    Bus: 06, Device: 04, Function: 00


    can i solve this problem?
    any solutions.

    Might try resetting BIOS to defaults...
    Is it still under warranty?
    Any PCMCIA cards added?

    no cards added.
    still under warranty.
    i have reset BIOS to defaults
    is it a serious problem

    If it's preventing you from using your network card..I'd say yes it's serious.

    Since it's still under warranty...I'd call them up and get it fixed.

    the problem is that i dont have an acer service center at my place.

    the problem is not hindering in normal work.
    the computer is working properly.

    will it help if i format the hard disk and reinstall windows.
