For those New people, please read this thread!

Here are basic things that you can do to help us help you better, when making a post in this forum, please consider doing a few of the following:

1.) Posting your full system specifications with your problem in the first post. (This saves us alot of time in helping you and if you don't know all of it, please post what you do know and we'll try and help you figure out the rest.)

2.) For the best answers, please direct your question at someone or at a specific topic to gain the attention of that person/s.

3.) Please no swearing, if you want to have a debate on which hardware/component is better, please keep it civil and post some factual information backing it up. If not, there is the general forum to discuss such opinions as well.

I'll be working on an updated list at time goes by, but for now if you got any questions, just post them and I'm sure one of the tech guys will get to them!

Very nice and informative thread! Perhaps this thread should be closed. If someone feels left out, they can always PM terr to be added to the list? I only mentioned closed because it would look and feel more official that way. These few followup deleted and the list can be revamped as necessary.

    just a suggestion!

Ughh..still feel sick to my stomach, I think I have the flu..but on wards,

If you think your name should be up on the list or in a more specific category, please PM list Onetrueday suggested. Also if you would like I can add what you specialize in if you would like for those who are already listed. You are all the real heros of this place, it couldn't exist without you, so from those who have yet to thank you, I personally thank you all for the help you have given and will give.

Just a thought, how about adding a section for propietary machines. It may help the people who use speedguide at work and need it for help once in a while.

Example, I work daily with Dell Optiplex desktops and Dell Latitude notebooks. (Dell Certified on both)

Im sure there are others who work with Dell's and I think it would be cool to know who they are.

Same goes with say, Compaq'a or HP's or whatever else.

And please add Packard Bell so we can make fun of them

    Good idea terrancelam

    Your recommendation has been noted

I think the posts speak for themsleves when someone comes along and disagrees with everythign that last 10 guys said. I believe it is then safe to say that he didn't know **** and the others did. I do agree with more specific questions. In the networking forum we got a question that said, whats the best router? I mean how more vague can you get? Then in another forum i believe it was online gaming someone asked whats a good online multiplayer game, again thats not nearly enough info to make a suggestion. I agree with that point 10 fold but i disagree with you assigning certain ppl to groups saying oh yea they know there ****. You don't know me and i don't know you, there are probably very few ppl on here that actually know each other so don't try to make some kind of committee of ppl and say things you can't back up. I say you ask a person that has physically messed with whatever your talking about. I think the person should ask a question to a person and that person he chooses to ask would be according to knowledge not one of your stupid committees. Thats my recommendation.
noted and taken into consideration. I've already asked you to remove this in PM and I'll do it here, please delete that post. Once again, please read the post carefully, it says if you think your name should be up here and you have atleast 200 post (so that I know you will be around and are a bit established, then please PM me.) If you have a suggestion like this fellow, send it in PM form and I will edit the post for you.

As for the notability of all these people. 99% of these people I've seen them in action helping people with their technical skills and a good majority of them I have first hand experience with in getting help from. And just to let you know, I know everyone on this list personally.

If you have a comment, you can pm it to me as well.

that list pretty much sums it up, those guys are devoted to the hardware forum, i really do learn alot by just reading most of your posts, and you are the people that actually don't spam as much as other people just to get the most posts and pretending you are knowledgeable... well if you do, you'll most likely post a really good thread with knowledgeable facts, making up for all those spam threads, and i really honestly admire that...keep it up, this post is just to motivate you all, and just to say that you are doing a good job on keeping the hardware forum alive, keep up the good work

::sarcasm:: hope your heads didn't get too big after reading that
