Post Internet Connection Sharing with a Alcatel USB DSL Modem

I just installed Bellsouth DSL service on one of my home PC's that uses an Alcatel USB port DSL modem. I also have a LAN connection between that PC and a laptop PC of mine. I had no problem communicating between the two PC's until I tried to enable Internet Connection Sharing, within Windows 98 Second Edition. As soon as I do I can no longer communicate at all between the two PC's. Any thoughts?

Is this a PPPoE DSL connection? If so, you will need a client that supports ICS, such as RASPPPoE.
