Update, went to the Chiropractor this morning, they took x-rays and recommended I undergo treatment, nothing severe, but for a few weeks to make sure the pain goes away

now I just gotta keep on the backs of the insurance and make sure they pay it all once i'm released

Just a bit of advice. A regular Doctor (MD) or a specialist may do your case better in the long run. I dont think the courts consider Chiropractors experts in thier field. Orthopedics are specialist in bone and muscle and your best bet to get treated correctly and fully acreditted in court on thier field of medicine. Good luck.

    I've heard that before too...

Here is my advice and quasi-story.... To this day I have back problems for all sorts of things.. Biggest problem is that I went to my doctor and his first question after looking at xrays on me was. " where you in an acident over a year ago?" at that time I was just starting to get back pains and neck problems. nothing too serious, and I didn't even Think about an accident i had with my brother over 2 years prior to talking to a doctor. I had NO pain, no aches or soreness for a long time, even afterwards. I was in great shape i thought.. couldn't of been farther from the truth.. I had to goto rehab for over a year, and I was lucky cause of work medical at the time covered it, but had I gone to a doctor the next day and gotten everything looked at, they would've found the damaged tissues on my lower back that now over tighten and cause EXTREME pain...

goto your Primary Care Physician, get referals, referals are a paper trail of treatment, great to show insurance to say "Hey, my doctor tells me to see this guy, so im going." Not, "I feel funny so im going to this random doctor over here"
If he says goto the hospital for Xrays, see if he will give you a referal for a MRI as well.. both scans together will show skeletal and muscular problems. have your entire spine scanned from skull to tailbone..

Call your auto insurance, and your primary medical insurers. If your auto doesn't cover, your primary medical will..

In all Fairness, you shouldn't have to pay a dime for ANYTHING, if you gotta goto court, have the lawyer put in the case that the insurance will pay for all your legal fees as well, and once that is in.. talk to your lawyer about EVERYTHING that may come out of your pocket because of this accident. A good lawyer will make sure you wont pay a dime of it if you follow thier advice, they aint doctors so medical issues talk to your primary but fax his bill to your lawyer for adding to the case.

Lastly, some lawyers LOVE milking the insurance agencies, they see them as cash cows, but this could be a two-sided sword here.. Great you'll get more cash, Bad because your agency will see this and may do a paranoid rate increase just incase...

Lots of advice, but all based on my experience.. so please becarful, your safe and alive.. now protect whats yours.

good luck and keep us up to date..
