    strange issue with Motorola SB5100

ok i think this is strange ok, ive been using a Motorola SB4200 for about 1-2 years now and ive had no problems with it! well my dad who had the same blueyonder internet (uk connection company) gave me his sb5100, but so far i cant seem to get it to work with either the ethernet or usb connection!! its strange all the led lights light up except the online led flashes thus not being able to connect to internet! i thought it was my pc so i tried connecting online on my ps2 and again the online button flashes on the sb5100 when my connection works perfectly fine with the SB4200!!

anyone know what i can do? otherwise ill just throw it away

To use a new modem you most likely have to call your ISP so they can register teh MAC address of the modem to your account.
