    It may fix alot of things but I disagree with some "tweeks" they are doing.. such as the not being able to turn a flag while inside "passenger" of a vehical.. that one I just disagree on. If your within range your within range regardless.

    thats mostly due to people filling up transport helos and just passing over the flags and having the flag just change rapidly..

    Put C4 on your own helo and then go track down the Blackhawk....hover right next to it, bail out and hit fire. Getting 6 easy kills is nice.

    agreed, seems like they are killing gameplay. 6 players should spawn flag faster than 1. Regardless of in vehicle or not. So now that you can't spawn flags while in a ride does that mean no helo spawning either?!

    Stats compare - view the extended stats details for any other player
    in your BFHQ simply by double-clicking on their name on the leader board
    or using the new search feature!

    *I don't care about this one...

    Server Favorites and History - find your favorite servers that much
    easier. No more searching for them through the main server list!

    *This one is a biggie for many people.

    Nickname Prefix - Add and change your clan tag to your account name at
    will. No more creating alternate account names to cover the changes in
    your competitive lifestyle!

    *Guess some people didn't like this not working

    Supply Drop Icons - Supply drops now appear on the main map and within
    the 3D Map. Find that elusive supply drop much, much quicker!

    *This seems cool, dunno about the realism factor, but should help, or at least makes things easier.

    destroying the commander's toys. Special Forces players rejoice!

    *This is a biggie for me...probably the biggest improvement....I was always pissed that Spec Ops never got points for destroying the radar and UAV...that's some important stuff!

    Server Reserved Slots - Server Operators can now set aside slots for
    their admins to join a full server at any time!

    *Cool for admins

    Vehicle Passengers - the names of players in a vehicle with you are
    now displayed when you enter or change seats.

    *Another "it's about time" fix....important

    Countermeasures - a reload bar has been added for vehicle
    countermeasures. You'll always know now when you can set off that next
    flare!

    *Guess it's good


    Tweaks


    Point Farming changes - DICE has implemented functionality that makes
    it significantly harder to point farm on Ranked Servers.

    *Excellent...keep those lame 'tards from making fake stats.

    Mod Support - Mods now work properly with the Dedicated Server!
    Additionally, the game will automatically switch mods when joining a
    server that is running a mod you have installed but do not have activated.

    *Important for upcoming mods

    Map tweaks - Spawn menu map and Commander maps now scale based on the
    size of the level being played (16, 32 or 64 players). Mini-map also
    scales automatically based on the vehicle type you are using (manual
    changes to zoom levels are remembered as well).

    *Good, I always immediately go to the highest altitude zoom anyways, I want to see the largest area.

    Commander scoring - No more TKs from Artillery!

    *I actually think this takes away from the realism, I know people hate being killed by their own arty, but hey, people need to wake up and pay attention, I've never been a fan of "no friendly fire".

    Vehicle tweaks - No more accidental kills from bumping a friend with
    your tank (try to avoid hitting him at speed though) and no more
    struggling uphill in an APC. Also no more improper TK allocation from
    vehicle explosions.

    *Good that they got rid of the Ford Pinto effect of bumping into players. I never had a problem with APCs going slowly uphill...I always thought it added to the realism.

    Auto Team Balance tweaks - Commanders and Squad Leaders now immune to
    team switch.

    *Good

    Anti-Air Missiles - These are now much more effective against fast-movers.

    I hope that just means the commander doesn't get points taken away, if it means his own team is immune from his arty, that's pretty damn lame.

    IMO, they need to fix the TK's or point system for when your team mates run over your mines!!! Fricking newbs that cant see a red skull and bones and then YOU get punished for it. Just not right! Im almost getting to the point where I wont play an engy on a pub server.

    Nah, probably still kill your people, just don't lose points for it as you do now. If people are so dumb as to ignore a big giant flashing red arty symbol as well as the verbal warning "Artillery your area!!!" Why punnish the commander for that?

    Well, I hope we are right, because if it makes teammates immune to arty, then I say a group of 4-5 of us just keep running from flag to flag, and you bomb the **** out of us with arty while we cap it - keep us safe.

    "OK. Don't want to be the bearer of bad news but on http://www.battlefield2.nl/ (that lately has had some very accurate information) has posted the below in Dutch and I follow with a Babble Fish unedited english translation.

    De release datum die enkele weken terug uitgelekt was, 3 oktober, blijkt niet de definitieve releasedatum te zijn. Na het testen door een closed testgroup is gebleken dat er nog veel bugs in de komende patch zitten. De releasedatum van de patch is verschoven naar halverwege deze week. Waarschijnlijk is de patch in de vroege ochtend van komende woensdag beschikbaar.

    Update:

    Zojuist is de releasedatum bevestigd. Woensdag patchdag!

    The release date which some weeks had leaked out, 3 October, do not prove be the definite releasedatum. After testing by closed testgroup has proven to be that there bugs still many in the coming patch sit. The releasedatum of the patch have been moved to halfway these weak. Probably the patch in the early morning of coming Wednesday are available.

    Zojuist the releasedatum have been confirmed. Wednesday patchdag!

    Yeah I doubt that would be the case. If Friendly Fire is off we could do that though.
