    SATA drive into a NAS??

I have an SATA drive that I'm not using, and I'd like to attach it to my router somehow to create a NAS. I've looked around, and I can't find any external enclosures that have SATA for an internal connection, and ethernet for an external connection.

Asside from building a complete box and using that as a server, does anyone have any suggestions??
What I want is what I've not got, but what I need is all around me.

took a bit of research...but here you go. I didn't even know you could get external drive enclosures that were network ready...pretty cool.

keep in mind this is just one site I found...I have no clue of the quality of the brand or if it's a good price or anything.

ok cool...here's a option from Netgear I just found too...

    Decent price from buy.com - http://www.buy.com/retail/product.as...=0&dcaid=17379

Storage Central is easy to setup and install. Just slide in one or two 3.5” IDE disk drives of any capacity; connect Storage Central to any wired or wireless router or switch from any vendor, then configure with Smart Wizard install assistant. Now you’re ready to access files from any PC on your network, as a simple letter drive.

the reviews I was able to find were horrible for these devices though. very slow and some wierd quirkyness.
