    2006 Honda Civic

    Hi to All

    A Popular Car gets new power. The Dash is a distraction though imho
    ~~~~~~~~~
    In a special preview drive of the new 2006 Honda Civic sedan, coupe, Hybrid sedan and high performance Si coupe, Canadian Driver's Paul Williams was impressed by their "sharp design, comprehensive standard safety technology, roomy interior, and excellent fuel economy," but describes the Civic's new instrument layout as "unusual".
    Good Morning YeOldeStonecat
    Conservatism has left the Honda Plant it seems YeOldeStonecat. They need those Kids Sales and have pulled all the stops as you say Brian. The extra power will certainly bring some people into the Honda Dealerships.
    Have yourself a wonderful day as well Brian
    Very nice.
    I didn't realize that Honda had a Canadian plant, being under the impression that all the NA production was just up the road from me. When did they build the plant, please?
    Thanks. I think that the US operation, which began as a motorcycle plant, builds mostly Accords, so I owuld guess that the Civics go south and the Accords go north.
    The plants are fantastic. There are no janitors, each worker cleans his own department. You could eat off the floor.
    Jobs are really competitive. Honda new hires come in via a temp agency, and you get a permanent job only after busting your butt for maybe six months.
    Canada probably goes us one better in each of these areas.
    Unsure of hiring practices or work situations, but its in a Town of approx. 10,000 people so you can imagine its importance to the community. A good work ethic exists if for no other reason than they need the employment.
    They have a great reputation for quality and people I've met that work there (a couple, only) seem to enjoy it their.
    Thanks Fellas and have a good one
    Hi nightowl
    Apparently Kip has been in "Columbus, Ohio" and its very doubtful that Our having a Honda Plant in Alliston was big news their.
    Just as we are unaware of some Plants located Stateside, I'm equally sure the US is the same, when it comes to us. I'm equally sure half of Canada is unaware of it as well.
    Thanks
    Hi Spammy
    Best Selling Car in Canada. My Niece has one and loves it.(an 05)
    Great mileage and reliable as hell. They've come a long way from where they started. The originals were a death trap imho. Had a Brother-in-Law killed in one of them. Crushed up like a used Coke Can, No longer the case though.
    Thanks Spammy and do have a lovely day
