Thumbs up Total peace of mind. Prepared for Next Crash

    Hi to all

A few weeks ago i suffered a complete meltdown when i was Defragging and lost everything, when there was a Power Interruption while doing so.

I think i have now resolved that issue for the future (Fingers Crossed)

I have added a 3rd Drive an External Ximeta NetDisk 120GB for Back-Ups

I installed the Acronis True Image 8 Workstation to do the Images on the NetDisk and placed a Permanent Image on one Partition and a Continuously Updated Image on another partition of it, i backed that up with AKG Backup & ERUNT Registry Backups as well.

I just yesterday bought an APC Battery Back-Up 500ES to give me power during a Power Interruption as well.

Now i can Shutdown the Ext. Drive when I'm not using it to avoid any Virus attacks from spreading to the Images i have their and also i have set the Battery Backup to give me power till there is 8 minutes remaining on the battery at which point it Shuts itself Off.

I just tried it out by Downloading to keep it busy and pulling the main cord out while doing so.

It ran for 14 minutes before Shutting itself Down and still had Battery life left in case another power interruption happened after a restart.

At last, Total peace of mind. Yippee!

Yeah them APC units help so much in the reliability of a computer. Conditioning the AC is so important, smooth out the spikes, and fill in the gaps from brown outs.

have some more peace of mind:
afaik, viruses can't infect .img or .gho images, they have to be on the drive that's imaged to begin with.
No one has any right to force data on you
and command you to believe it or else.
If it is not true for you, it isn't true.
