Used to play the piano back in elementary and junior high school, by high school, started playing the guitar. Kept going on the guitars into college, sold them after college. The kid plays the guitar now, I enjoy picking it up now 'n then.

Played mostly rhythm...bunch of us in the dorm in college made up a little band that would play the local pub on open mic night. Did stuff like Dire Straights, Stones, Clapton, Robert Cray, etc.

Piano, Cello, Contra Bass, and Bass Guitar.

The Bass Guitar is the only one I currently would say that I play, although not that much anymore either.
    Respect it.

Q: What's the difference between a bass guitar player and a pizza?

A: A pizza can feed a family of four.

    ---------------------------------------

Did you hear about the bass player who was so bad that even the
    lead singer noticed?

I was a good tromboner from 5th - 9th grade, then stopped doing it. I probably should have stayed in, but at the time i thought it was best to stop being in the band.

here's a pic of my friends rig he's letting me borrow.....note the $5 dollar headphones LOL....since i play usually at night.

I took piano lessons from age 6-15. Then around 15, sports took over and basketball became my life. During high school, me and a teammate who happened to play drums, would setup jam sessions at my parents house during the basketball off-season..

By mid-late high school between all the Phish, Classic Rock, & heavy metal, I was also getting heavily into electronic music and began playing around with drum machines, sequencers, & samplers from 96-99.. In 98 I picked up a nice african drum and began learning percussion.. At that same time I also started mixing on the turntables.. I was all over the place and never spent enough time mastering one particular skill, but I love to jam, whether it be on keys/piano, percussion, or just chillin' in my home studio, mixing records and messing around with funky tracks on the drum machine.. I love all kinds of music.. especially if it sounds "funky". :2cool:

I wish I would play keys/piano more often.. I've probably touched the ivories twice in the past 4 years and I probably couldn't play an actual song all the way through anymore, but rather just jam along to someone else.
