Running console 5.02 and at times the system fails to get more work and errors out. I thought they would have fixed this by nowI don't like having to reboot a server because of this.

WAHHHHH!!! I just recently set up a new dualie...and three Ambers..have aborted on me...plus time outs..etc...the last two finally sent...but it sure can be frustrating!! Running the 5.02 as well...on the new one..

I don't know whats causing this but a reboot will usually straighten it out.
Anyone have an older version they care to send me. Very few problem with the older stuff, just a little harder to setup.
I don't know why you are having this problem. I have yet to see it happen. Did you upgrade from a previous version? If so , did you run it from the command prompt with fahsrv.exe -configonly and set up your options?

Maybe a fresh download would fix it? If not there are a couple of different older versions on this page. If you are running a dualie...you must use the console version and make two seperate folders. That is where I made my mistake the first time...I downloaded the graphical. Good luck to you!

I meant to mention this and I forgot. Stop the folding service and Try deleting the CORE files.
example : fahcore_65.exe
delete them all and fah will redownload them again to the newest version.
I also wanted to know if you were running the older version , were you running it as a service? If yes, then did you remove the old service from your registry? Make sure all traces of the service are removed from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services

Use the built in service installer instead

These were all fresh installs without a previous version installed. Yes they are all running as a service and it happens from time to time on every single system.
Well its done it again... The first pic is when I got home and the second is right after a reboot minutes later.
Any clue how to fix this????
Can you post your fahlog.txt file for when its crashed? Id like to see the error message. just edit it, copy and paste it when you find its crashed. Im curious if its doing the same thing that mine just started doing.

Here is one that just crashed. I,m not going to touch it and see what happens.
What's your home setup? You running pure NAT? Multiple homed? Behind ISA? I've not seen it as a problem with version 5, and I have..oh....quite a few folding away in many different networks. Most of mine are setup not as a service, with -advmethods -forceasm flags, accepting larger than 5 meg jobs.

Well its a deffinetly my server doing this. I found 3 fah crashed this morning and I only rebooted the server and all came back up. Looks as if it maybe that IE is locking it out. I'm gonna try to relax the settings and see what happens.
Well, relaxing internet options from high security to medium seems to have fixed the problem.
