    Web Proxy/Cache Poll

Would you be interested in a Web Proxy/Cacheing service as part of the Speedguide Premium package?

For those of you who do not know, a Web Proxy allows you to go to a site allowed by your firewall administrator. From that Proxy site you then go on to sites NOT allowed by your firewall administrator. To the firewall it appears as if the traffic is coming from an allowed site, and is therefore passed.

Cacheing would mean that after the first visit to a site by a member, for instance Sports Illustrated, any further visits by other members within the next few minutes) would be able to pull all the graphics directly from the cache server. This should speed load times for pages visited often.

    Regards,
    -Bouncer-

There thousands out there anyhow... and using the same proxy all the time defeats the purpose.

Probably woud be something best offered as a stand alone service... I dunno. I'd have no use for it. The only parts of the SG Premium membership I use now are Browsing with no ads and the 10MB of file storage.
    Respect it.

There are a bazillion free proxy servers out there already.

As stated before using the same one all the time defeats the purpose of using a proxy server. After a while the firewall admin will figure out what's up and block that IP.

sometimes the free ones dont work good, sites go extremely slow or dont load at all....the few times i've used a proxy that is...

I don't know how you set up a proxy server, but if you could have a 100% quality one, for the premium, that would be cool.

I voted YES, in fact I would buy the premium membership for it. Only reason I dont have it now, is none of the other extras really appeal to me.
