Thread: ok my mobo says supports 4x/8x

    ok my mobo says supports 4x/8x

    when i am in bios i only have the option to pick 1-4x.

    how do i pick 8x?

    i think you are looking at the wrong option in your bios

    and drivers have nothing to do with bios settings

    it should be set on 4X/8X AGP by default, you shouldnt have to change anything

    what video card do you have?

    open your driver control panel and in the first menu it should say what AGP level you are at

    i dont know why it says bus: PCIx0 WTF?


    on the other pc it says agp4x

    install the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard

    you have a VIA chipset, so download and install the VIA Hyperion 4n1's http://www.viaarena.com/default.aspx?PageID=2&Type=1

    ok i reformatted but still showing as pci


    in device manger i cliekd on 6800 and under general it says PCI bus1

    i would install bios update but i dont know which one to get or how do it

    Does the bios have a version number in the bios screen anywhere?

    Yes flashing a bios is easy. Tell me your not buzzin, I mean your spelling is horrible and your usually not bad at spelling. I don't want you to make a door stop out of your mobo.
