Sonicwall WLAN disabled but can connect

I have a sonicwall SOHO TZW with the WLAN disabled but it still broadcasts its SSID and wireless cards can conect and pull a IP via DHCP. I am looking into the unit and it says WLAN disabled.

Why is it broadcasting and still working?

I know I could jut disable SSID broadcasts and disable the DHCp on the WLAN but I would think it would not work at all when I disabled it. I also have removed the wireles antennas.

You cant connect to anything with the wireless, not even the internet.

I'm not familiar with the particular unit, but you say yourself you "can't connect to anything with the wireless, not even the internet" so it might be working as intended.

I'd still disable SSID broadcast, enable WEP/WPA, and MAC Address filtering, if it is supported.

I think the reason its not connecting is because I have WiFiSec enforcement enabled.

Thanks for the reply, I guess I'll just lock it down.
