Dude, first of all it would help if you stick to plain old english, as it's much easier to understand you then.

Windows has a so-called registry, which is basically a big file containing many settings, for Windows itself and many installed applications. Some of the settings contained in the registry affect how your internet connection works. Since you are not familiar with the concept of the registry, I suggest you download the tweak files instead of editing your registry manually:
http://www.speedguide.net/files/sguide_tweak_98.zip for Windows 98 if you have a cable modem or a DSL modem not using PPPoE
http://www.speedguide.net/files/sgui...k_98_pppoe.zip for Windows 98 if you have DSL and connect via PPPoE (call your ISP's tech support if you don't know if you have it or not)
http://www.speedguide.net/files/sguide_tweak_2k.zip If you have Windows 2000

After download, unzip the files (should be an .inf file, .inf files can change settings in the registry). Right click the .inf file and choose install. Reboot your computer to have the settings take effect. That should do the trick.

If it doesn't work for some reason, or actually slows down your web-connection, revert to the standard settings by using these .inf files:
http://www.speedguide.net/files/sguide_default_9x.zip for Windows 98 (works for both Win98 tweaks)
    http://www.speedguide.net/files/sguide_default_2k.zip for Windows 2000

If you have Windows ME, I'm not really sure, but you could try the Win98 tweaks, as WinME is based on 98.

Note: it could be possible that the .inf files messes with your registry so much that you cannot access the web anymore (although I never heard of such a case), it's probably a good idea to be on the safe side and download the default patches as well so you can revert to your old settings without connection to the web. The tweak will help most likely (sure did help me, no problems at all), but it's better to be on the safe side, after all, downloading a few kB doesn't take long (especially not on cable).

    I hope this helps

    Cheers,
    Ronald
