I got the BFG Nvidia 6800GT on its way along with a new PS to update this comp. Question I have to anyone that has it how is its overall performance...and using something like rivatuner how much more did ya get out of it overclocked? does it run hot?

OCing isn't really too much a risk, unless you get stupid and inpatient. Especially video card OCing; there are so many signes that you're too high before the card would fry it's pretty ridiculous. As far as CPU OCing goes, well, you can gain quite the performance increase, example, my 1600+ @ 2800+ speeds.

Well I plan on overclocking it a little with rivatuner as I've done with my ti4600... I didn't get crazy with it just took a few days and increased a little at a time till I had a good increase and stable temps. I'll do the same with this card plus I have a idea to keep the whole system REAL cool!
I would just use coolbits instead.
I have a stock cooler on my x800 and it runs 510/560 in HL2 et al. The thing with DDR3 is it runs allot cooler.
As for little benefit you can see the difference running rthdribl adn changing the frequency on the fly. This is more dramatic on the memory yet both do help.
As always stay bellow your max to keep things safe and stable.
