Wow, that's quite the noble effort on Bush's part, if only, he could do that for our troops in Iraq.....

    hello All,
My personal belief is that the Chilean goverment was testing Bush, just to see what he would do. ...Now they know..

If that is the case, it took some brass ones to get between Bush and his agents. Not a place I'd wanna wade into. Armed to the teeth and WELL practiced marksmen.

Brembo, I would not want to test the Secrets Service Agents eithier..
I am just wondering if the US State Dept messed up the arrangements for The Presidents security, and if Bush did not interfere and kept walking, what would the Agents have done?...I wonder if there is a plan for something like that?...Just curious..

I don't see that as being noble. The guy set off the Metal detectors. Seems like he was afraid to go in alone and without protection. Its a shame he doesn't think about all the guys sleeping in dirt holes tonight, no secret service to watch them while they sleep. His actions are making us look bad internationally. I'm almost positive, being the SS is so thorough, that they knew the rules before they even went to that dinner and totally disregarded them 100%. There was to be no security people attending the dinner. There were 230 guests attending.

SANTIAGO, Chile (CNN) -- Plans for a state dinner for President Bush at Chile's presidential palace were scratched Sunday after the United States insisted on security measures that Chile called unacceptable.
