    More Pictures...nothing special

I just snapped a few pics yesterday while out and about at one of the most Northern Army camps in Kuwait. I just want you all to see what it looks like out here.

The sat downlink is one of the responsiblities I have out here in Kuwait. Just a mini sat to show you what it look like. Unclassified of course. The big boys on the other hand...you'll never see from me.

A picture of my departments Eastern Employees. Good group of guys they are.

The last 3 pictures are of some of the 54th Sig Bat. Here are some of the troops I mainly work very closely with in Iraq and here in Kuwait. I am liason between the US Army and the DOD side of things. They my friends. We hang out eat chow and shoot the **** throughout the day. The 1st Sgt. and LT. kick ass and Sgt. Wade keeps the laughter going through the day. The Sigs are deploying to Iraq in these pictures. They were taken yesterday morning. Wish them well please, they have their hands full this go around in Fallujah.

Coolio pics. Oodly enough it reminds me of Bondsteel in Kosovo. Not as brown, but the guys carrying weapons everywhere they go. Odd to see people in jogging shorts and t-shirts with a rifle slung across their front as they jog.

One other thing. Ever noticed how it's the tiny guy with the SAW and some hulk carrying a stripped down M4 that looks like a toothpick?

    Gotta love Army logic.

Every normal man must be tempted at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.
I often wonder if the voices in my head ever get frustrated because I'm just too damn lazy to climb that clock tower.

Weapons galore wherever I go. I'm accustomed to the troops sitting down beside me in chow and I start kicking M16' & 50's under the table while trying to scruff down some food.

Speaking of jogging yesterday morning during PT the troops where in full fatigues and flak jackets, no back packs. I gathered the CO got a wild hair up his ass but to be honest all hell is breaking loose in Fallujah. It's getting pretty stressful here for the troops to say the least. You know the drill.

    lol crack one off.

He's the ring leader of those boys. Hard workers they are. They don't let me do anything that requires labor. Pisses me right off. I just stand around and talk to the NCO's and Officers. lol Best gig I've ever had.

It was chow time so they were probably going back from tents/pods. They can bring weapons into the PX, chow hall but can't have a mag inserted and weapon has to be cleared prior to enty. This goes along with most places prior to entering a building, tent etc. Me thinks he forgot to insert mag.

I couldn't have asked for a better tour. It's going too good out here if that's such a thing.

Thanks for the pics Patty I love those Hum V's, do you ever get to drive one?

It looks like those middle eastern guys have a coaxial cable system on the board behind them, is that what that is? I could be a line tech in Kuwait

*stands in front of the satellite downlink and whistles*

Those troops look like great guys...I always get this strange feeling when I see those guys though, since everyday their lives are in danger.
