    Tweaking a Dlink DI-604 Router?

Is there anything to be done to a router or this router to tweak it to perform better or faster than stock? I would think so if everything else you can get now can be overclocked and tweaked lol

The most noticeable improvement would be tweaking the TCP/IP on your client PCs, playing with Ramdisks, etc

The router itself has a proprietary operating system (and webserver, DHCP server, etc.). Unless you want to flash it with your own version that would work there is not much you can do.

With that in mind, routers do have some settings like DMZ, port forwarding, etc. that can be fine-tuned to your needs. Some even have a user-configurable MTU setting in the web admin interface, but that's about as far as you can get.
Linux is user friendly, it's just picky about its friends...
