Question 207.net tracking cookie keeps coming back?

    Hi All,

Hope youve had a great day/night

I have a problem in that whenever I run lavasoft adaware, it detects this
    tracking cookie 'username@207.net/'

I tell adaware to remove it, it does and then after a reboot and more
browsing, i do another check and its back.

    It keeps reappearing!

I have all latest win updates, av protection, firewall and running xp pro
with sp2. Cookies are also set to high.

How do I prevent this 207.net cookie coming back?

    Thanks,

    -T

Also Norton Quarantined, a worm called winss.exe. I then deleted this file from quarantine. Is this an important file to the wellbeing of my PC? Any ideas guys?

    Cheers

    Internet Options\Security Tab\Restriced Sites Zone.

Add this exactly as seen: *.207.net
to the restricted sites zone and no more cookies from them!
No one has any right to force data on you
and command you to believe it or else.
If it is not true for you, it isn't true.

Use SpywareBlaster and SpyBot with the immunize feature as well as Ad-Aware and it should take care of your problems.

    Also it's 2o7 not 207. (a lower-case o and not a numeral)

"How Do I Stop the 2o7.net Cookie?

If you are still unsure about the 207 cookie, you can delete it and block 3rd party cookies from being set again. You do NOT need special software for this. Omniture does have a page that can help you with this, but guess what? Yep, it sets another cookie. The opt-out cookie only works for the browser and computer that you set it on. So if you use Firefox on your home computer, that’s the only one the opt-out cookie will block from 2o7.net."

don't forget to clear all your cookies too.
