can i do that if i get a router to ?
that is onlt mac adress for windows

Turn the cable modem off for a couple of minutes, then back on. If it does not recognize the new NIC at that point you have two choices:
1) Ask your ISP to accept the new MAC.
2) Add a router such as the Linksys BEFSR11 and program it to use the MAC address of the old NIC.
Some ISP's, unfortunately, require a paid service call to accomodate a new NIC.
Good luck,
