    How to create a simple webform...

    Just like the title stated. I know how to make fields, buttons and what not but don't know what to do for the submit button.

    Is there still a way to do some sort of simple form? Just to gather some info such as: Name, phone # and so on without sending it to some sort of email. Also after the person press submit, it takes him to some sort of thank you page.

    Thanks alot!!

    You need some sort of backend. Like an SQL server or something to store the submitted info then.
    Respect it.

    re Submit Button:
    This depends on the type of form and it's purpose. For example, an email form can send the input to a specified address via the client's default email program or a server side email script coded in PHP (or other language). When using a script, the Submit button code would be something like:
    <form method="post" action="http://www.domain.com/emal.php" target="_self">
    <input type="text" name="address" size="30" maxlength="70">
    <input type="text" name="subject" size="40" maxlength="100">
    <textarea name="msg" cols="34" rows="8"></textarea>
    <input type="submit" value="Send">

    re Thank You page:
    This can be contained in the PHP script itself. Because the form action is the actual script, after the message is sent the scripts detects this and as a result displays a message on the page such as "Message Sent, thank yiou" or "Error, you did not enter your email address, click here to return to the mail form".
    No one has any right to force data on you
    and command you to believe it or else.
    If it is not true for you, it isn't true.

    If they don't have mysql, than they probably don't support php either. I don't know if your paying for hosting or not, but if you're looking for great hosting, I can highly recomend Lunarpages.

    I have no clue, I'd have to ask. Since this webspace is generously provided by the school...

    If we had money we'd get our own webspace... but we don't have nuff traffic to justify 8 bucks a month. We're poor..
