I am confused by the purpose of this poll ...

Did people (masses of) leave the U.S.A. because of an election result before?

Kim Basinger suggested Alec Baldwin would in 2000.

No. This is the United States of America. I don't give a crap who the president is. This is still the best country in the world to live in.
    Respect it.

Well of course not. The entire notion of it is ridiculous.

    I agree

though I am suprised 3 people have voted yes, unless they aren't serious

I'm most curious in Pafts answer.

They're not serious...and if they said they were, it's paper tigerism at its best. They'll go get their Starbucks and play BFV and upgrade their PC and forget they ever made such an assertion.

As a 14-year-old kid living in a nice home in a good community with some good friends, and going to a good school, no- I would never leave this country, even when I get older. I love USA.

I'm 17 years old. When the election happens, I will have 27 days to turn 18. June of the next year, I graduate.

I have absolutely nothing to lose at this point in the game by going to an out-of-country college and/or perminantly moving to a different country. If Bush wins the next election, I believe that this country will find out that what he has done this term is going to be nothing compared to the next term when he has nothing to lose by going all-out and doing what it is that he desires so badly to do. If people don't think that the loss of civil liberties and safety under this administration are bad, then I wonder what they will think when laws start being passed that outlaw homosexuality, liberalism, or any other such thought - which I believe Bush, and his "base", would have him do if they could. He's already shown great disregard for the document that makes this country great - who's to say that he won't just throw that out alltogether?

So your answer, Brent, is that I would be willing to leave this country - as great as it is now - if Bush was re-elected. Because then, I seriously doubt that this country will be great any longer.

    Does that answer your question?
