Crucial Ballistix memory writeup...must read for those who want top performing memory

It seems like Crucial did an excellent job on their new high performance line of memory, the Ballistix line. Linked from Anandtech, found this article, and they loved the RAM. A quick read.

Looks like some great RAM there. If I wasn't looking to replace my video card, I'd get some of this.

With Folding running at 100 percent, I can get the FSB on this 2500+ to 192 with the memory set to 2-2-2... (locks up on 194)

The AMD chip was supposed to be unlocked, but it's not...I'm kinda bummed about that, but happy about the memory I guess....The other stick I had, I couldn't get past FSB of 184 with the memory set to auto..

I think I'll set the the FSB at 182 or so and forget about it. It's running cool enough with a stock fan at this setting..

if its running 192 and folding then you should be good, I'd say run it at the 192.

Heard its great ram. Yet for 865/875 chipsets the OCZ gold still beats the bejezus out of it.

It will be a long time before I consider OCZ again. Crucial has great brand recognition!

While reading through that link I ran across this,

    AMD Duron 500 MHz 9.9 GHz 9377.0

WTF?!?! A duron 500 running @ almost 10 GHz, this can't be right.
