What's the average life of a slice of pizza at room temperature?

    Just curious.

You buy a pizza....eat some...leave the rest in the box. You go back for seconds a few hours later. You leave the rest in the box. How long can it sit out at room temp before it spoils?

Honestly, I don't know if I'd eat a slice if it was sitting out a few hours later. Im sure it's filled with a lot of preservatives and it could last a bit longer..another hour perhaps. But an hour tops in my book.

Constantly living in a hotel type environment I can tell you that if you bend a slice and it breaks in half, it's time to toss it in the trash. Otherwise, the pizza is fair game for munching.

Break with a snap as in crunch? Or more like shoe leather tear/snap? That could mean that it is just dry....I've eaten refrigerated pizza and it''s been hard as a damn rock. Nuke it in the microwave for 30 seconds and it's all good to go.

A crunch. My pizza never makes it to a snapping sound. lol

When you bring nukers into it the level of pizza "standing time" greatly increases.

good question ... I was just pondering that myself ...

here is another one ... how long is it good in the fridge for? (making a red baron pizza tonight and I plan to saving the remnants ...) will it still be good tomorrow night?

Ok say you weren't living with your girlfriend. Then what would you consider the maximum alloted time?

Your storing left overs in the fridge? Using a nuker to reheat I assume? Heck, that's an easy one. One month.
