    Anyone here resize .gif 's ?

    I would like to resize this for my avatar ...





    It's currently 127 X 80 But I'm not sure how good it will look at 100 X 53


    Any body gor an automated Script to resize the individual frames ?
    Network Engineer for Linux/Windows/Netware servers and connectivity for remotes sites via VPN in Roanoke, VA.

    It doesn't look too bad but the file size is too big. 50k..

    I believe it's just under 25k
    I tried to reduce the colors but it get's too choppy..

    The only way i could get them to 25k and still look ok, was to add a background color. 41 Frames...

    Sit ... How exactly does ADDING a bacground color reduce Size ??

    i just resized it and culled some frames, didn't work too well

    I dunno the specifics of it, but just through trial and error I know this. Transparent gifs are bigger than a gif with a background.

    Mark, I use Fireworks (don't know if the terms are the same with what you use), but I get Alpha, Index and No transparency options and when Alpha transparency is selected for me, the frame delays are not there, but are with Index or No transparency.

    I used no transparency with a background color for the smallest result with minimal picture degradation. Just a tip I guess lol. Yours looks like mine, but without the frames delays.

    Upon futher investigation of the transparencies I find I'm full of **** lol.



    Only 8 colors instead of 11 though.

    Edit, see that white outline.
