    Exclamation Adopt-a-machine contest

Saw this on another board and thought it would make for a great contest here on speedguide. The essence of the contest is that several of us pitch in parts that would make a whole computer. Then, we have a drawing among the active folders, and the winner would get those parts to put together a new machine for folding. I'd be willing to throw in a brand new Biostar M7NCD motherboard towards the cause. We would just need people to donate the following items: AMD processor, pc2100 or better memory, video card, hard drive, cpu fan, cdrom drive, floppy drive, case, power supply. Anything else would be gravy on top to enhance the pot, so to speak.

The motherboard's got an agp slot in it, so if you've got a decent agp card, that'd be cool

I'll go ahead and throw that on the list...we'll use that one unless someone donates a higher wattage one

I also have some old SCSI drives, they are 2 GB each but they could be put into RAID 0 and have a good setup for a folding rig ... only problem is I don't have a controller for them

All of that would be very cool if you're willing to part with it

Looks like all we need is a case and a floppy drive, then we can get the contest underway

I have a floppy drive of dubious quality, two in fact. Need to keep one just in case. I'll throw that into the mix as well.
