    boot problem.

i was in the middle of a fresh install of WinXP, it was reformatting the HD, and preparing to install but sometime during the reformat the computer just shut off.

after this happened the computer refuses to get past the boot screen.

    "at best" itll read:

    Main Processor : AMD Athlon(tm) XP 1250MHz
    Memory Testing : 523264K OK
    Memory Clock is: DDR 266
Primary Master : Sony DVD RW DRU-530A 2.0A
    Primary Slave : None
    Secondary Master : WDC WD400BB-00AUA1 18.20D18
    Secondary Slave : None

    then stall here.

other times itll only read portions of it. currently i only have the CPU, PSU, HD, CD-ROM, Floppy, Memory, and Vid Card plugged in.

    hardware:

    Radeon 9600se
    Western Digital 40gig
    AthlonXP 2000+ TBred 266
    2 Crucial 256mb sticks
    Sony DVD RW DRU530A
    Generic Floppy
    Enermax 430w
    ABIT-KV7
    asdf?

Try clearing cmos and reconfigure the ide drives, you've got the dvd as primary and not the HD.
