    The root of C: is C: drive, before you enter any folders. (That's the best description I can think of )

    Boot.ini is hidden

    You'll have to go to Folder options>view and check "show hidden files and folders"

    i beleive the root of C is just put in the the c-drive, ?

    boot.ini isnt really hidden that hard cause like alls u go into is Command Prompt and put in c:\Boot.ini

    so i just open up the c drive of the computer and that is the root?

    i'm ON my own computer lol

    his is the one that's his parents

    anywho, i've opened up my own c drive and have hidden folders and files shown and i do not see anything called boot.ini; is it there by default or would our paste be the first one in there?

    I forgot, you guys have Dells, and you've been Dell'd lol

    Do a search for it, it could be anywhere on a Dell for all I know.

    lol perhaps i will later. would you recommend just checking the dell site or the web in general or both?

    In folder options>view make sure you have "Hide protected system files" UNCHECKED

    When you're done messing with the system, go back and recheck it.

    i'm just 18 here and will be 19 in april. i guess i'm still at the point where the older you get the better it is
