    Home page changes

    I am running IE 6.0 and every time I reboot the home page defaults to www.t.rack.cc/hp.php ? I don't have any idea as to why it does this. I am assuming it is some sort of spy-ware; however I have searched my computer with spybot and it does not detect any issues at all. Here are the system specs:

    Windows 2000 Pro (sp 4)
    all updates up-to-date
    512 MB RAM
    100 gig HDD
    1.2 AMD Athelon

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    You have CoolWebSearch Spyware.
    That domain is hooked to cool web search.

    Download and run CWShredder to get rid of it.

    AV?
    Code:
    if (no)
    {
         get(oneQuick);
    }
    else
    {
        try{ various AV's;
               any (known removal methods);
               anything (else you might think of);
        }
    }
    (now I know I've been coding too long )
    you might also check

    for the complete (and lengthy) details (including removal)

    you might want to visit windows update some time in the near future

    you have a bho.

    download hijack this from here and run it, look at what it finds, it should be obvious what you need to remove ("fix"). if unsure of what to remove post a screen shot of the scan results. the scan only takes a couple seconds.
