Air Purifiers...input

I'm pondering getting one of those ionic breeze air purifiers, anyone have one? If so, input on them.

Also considering other brands...Oreck makes a similar product.

I cannot find good articles on the 'net comparing them...like consumer reports writeups. Anyone dug around for info?

I have a 'Living Air' model. It works great. However, I much rather prefer open windows to circulate the air. Unfortunately that's only possible in spring & fall here in VA.

What I don't dig about these things is that they can pump too much O3 in the air. Too much )3 is not good not healthy. It takes some getting used to and to learn the desired settings on your unit.

I recently found that those "Ionic Breeze" units from Sharper Image had a class action lawsuit going....saying the units were worthless, didn't really do what they were claimed to do.

Friend has a couple of em, and they work, her house always smells like bleach to me. Nice bleach smell, that clean smell ya know?

Yeah, for some reason our house is really dusty, despite our efforts to keep it clean. I'm thinking of getting one or two purifiers.

Funny you said that brembo. Was in a house the other day and I asked the lady if she had a hot tub inside her house because it smelled a little like chlorine.

In my digging those two stand out for my price range and needs. Maybe that'll help you out a little too.
