I change the MTU but the TCP/IP Analyzer Test says something else

Hello...i have tried with every single tool i've found and still i haven't been able to change the MTU to 1500. The analyzer test says it's 1420(not optimized for broadband) and so the MSS and RWIN report as being wrong. I'm using Windows 2000 Service Pack 4...any suggestions? Thanks

Disabled the firewall and ran the test and i still got 1420...strangely enough i couln't find 1420 in the registry but 1500 did appear. So i guess the test is wrong...

It could be that a router that is (on the isp side) between ur house and here is throwing off the analyzer.

The analyzer is usually right but it has happen that on the Isp's end that router is set for that mtu cause the resaults.
