    Ps question ...

Some ps's have a plug available thta you can plug a monitor into instead of the wall socket. If the ps dies does it wouldn't still send power to the monitor would it ??

    maybe...

depends on if the wiring goes through the power supply or if it just slides right over.

The ones I have worked on where switched by the same power switch that turned on the power supply. When you turned the PC off the monitor went off too. I have only seen them on the old AT power supplies. They were only rated for 1A and only meant to power a monochrome monitor. I saw lots of 14 and 15 inch color monitors connected to them though.
I don't know the same things you don't know.
