    joystick in BF 42

Does anyone use a joystick for playing BF 42? I have a CYBORG 3D Gold USB joystick here that I just tried to plug in and use.

The joystick works fine but I am not so sure about the system knowing what I want to do with it. I can't find anything that says a good setup for BF 42 with a joystick.

If anyone uses one let me know what i should do to get mine to work correctly.

    Thanks,

i run a logitech wingman extreme 3-d stick and i had to download some new drivers and a control panel type thing for it to work in windows XP.

i had to go through and set the sensitivities to the way i liked it for the game.

I wish I could get away withought the mouse, it seems like it is always behind where I want it to be, as if the movement is delayed on it ...

    Logitech Wingman Extreme 3D USB.
Windows XP has built in drivers, just plug it in and it's ready.
Configure in the setup menu within the game...but default settings within the game, for flying with joystick, work fine.

Prior to that, used an old Microsoft Sidewinder 3D Pro...same thing, WinXP built in drivers, pretty much like the Logi...plug it in and play!

I'm using a simple MS Sidewinder Joystick. Works great but my skills are lacking which has nothing to do with the joystick.

I still have to fly with the rear chase view.

ok I thought I had saw where to change the camera settings at but i am not finding it. Can ya help me out?

As far as the game goes. Well I am a noob and it is difficult to keep up with more experienced players. However, I am not giving up. Just gonna practice. It just seems like I haven't found how to tell who is team and who is enemy until it is too late.

I can't fly for crap and I am trying to figure that out as most of my deaths are from enemy aircraft. Also, it seems like the mouse is alwas just a littl behind my movement in the game when I am running etc. So, I have to work on my aim too.

What it boils down to is that I like the game. I hate my lack of skill in it.....

I am sure with precatice and time things will improve for me.

Change view is F9, F10, F11 and F12 if I'm not mistaken. There is also a toggle cam view but I forget what the default is for that.

I was going to post a link to that thread, but the SG search results for "bullsh|t" were too numerous

I like the analog throttle control my joystick provides. Makes hovering a helo alot easier. To each his own. What ever works for you.
    Respect it.
