k, ware can i edet my winxp startup so that programs that i have instaalled dont boot up on the taskbar evertime i start my cumputer?

Start>Program Files>Start Up> Then Right Click on whatever you don't want to have starting up automaticaly and select delete.
Some stuff though is hidden elsewhere. Such as AV applications and the like. It doesn't use a shortcut in the startup folder.
Edit: Yeah I misread what you originally posted this works for some things, but what is posted above my post will work for the rest.
